Office Hours with a Writing Coach
Writing a formal document can be a daunting task. Don’t spend hours staring at the screen wondering what to say and how to format it. Don’t worry about figuring out how to upload, send, or submit your written product. Receive one-on-one, personalized writing instruction and coaching with a friendly, tech-savvy young professional. The writing coach has a wide range of experience, including in the arts, non-profit, and legal world.
She can help you with:

• Grant proposals
• Grant reporting
• Other formal emails and letters
Call the Templeton Center to make an appointment at 434-455-4115 or register online. Appointments are intended for basic assistance and are limited to 30 minutes. The writing coach cannot help with academic assignments or legal matters. Maximum of 2 appointments per person. Please bring materials and information such as the relevant job description, grant requirements, instructions, prior letters or emails that require a response, etc. If you are not sure what materials you need to bring, let the Templeton staff know and they will connect you with the writing coach.
Please also bring your laptop, tablet, or other device you plan to use for writing and saving the document. Walk-ins welcome but not guaranteed an appointment. Due to high demand for services, appointments should be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance when possible. No-shows may not be able to be rescheduled.
