There are two ways to find the park or trail nearest you. You can utilize our My City Services tool online here, or you can read about our many parks and trails individually.
Most of our trails – the Blackwater Creek Trail, Kemper Street Trail, RiverWalk, Point of Honor Trail, Creekside Trail, etc – can be found on our Trails of Lynchburg map. Visit our Peaks View Park page for maps of the Ivy Creek Greenway and mountain bike trails.

Volunteers are coordinated by our volunteer coordinator. Please call (434) 455-5886 for more information about volunteering or visit the volunteer page on our website. We welcome both groups and individuals for single or multi-day projects. We also have opportunities for volunteers with ongoing positions in our centers, parks, trails, and Adopt-A-Trail volunteer program.
To register for a class, you can find online registration for each class or program through the programs & activities section of the website. You can also register in person at Miller Center.
Check, cash, money order or Visa and MasterCard. Checks should be made payable to “City of Lynchburg”.

All reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. All reservations have to be approved. Please visit our Rentals page for more information about facilities, fees, and special events.
Refunds will only be considered if requested at least 10 business days prior to the start of the activity and may be subject to an administrative fee for incurred costs. No refunds (or partial funds) will be issued to customers who fail to attend an activity/class.
