Lynchburg Parks & Recreation, in partnership with Lynchburg Public Works and in conjunction with the Timmons Group, has developed the project schedule with a thorough understanding of the City’s priorities, community feedback, and the technical requirements identified during the master planning process. To ensure a smooth transition into design and construction, we have allocated time for early coordination with City staff, utility reviews, and permitting.

Key milestones are arranged to minimize disruptions and maintain efficiency. The schedule reflects the City’s goal of having the facility open and operational by June 1, 2027. Although this timeline is ambitious, we believe it is achievable, provided any unforeseen challenges that may arise are addressed. Success will require close coordination, open communication, and collaboration between the project team and the City.
