Templeton Center offers a wide range of activities Monday through Thursday, starting at 9:00am and ending by 8:00pm. Activities vary each day; please take a look at our monthly calendar or call to speak with a staff member during office hours, Monday through Thursday from 9:00am until 1:00pm.

The Templeton Center serves seniors and adults of all ages in the Lynchburg area. Established as a community gathering place in 2004, it provides participants with an excellent environment to socialize and have fun.
Thanks to the vision and generosity of Orion Templeton, the city received the building in the fall of 2004. Since then, the center has become a hub of activity, catering to both the community and bridge enthusiasts. A variety of activities are planned each month, and suggestions for new programs are always welcome.
Visit Templeton for a diverse range of activities focused on wellness, enrichment, and the arts! Our weekly games include bridge, canasta, and dominoes. Join in on lively discussions about current issues or participate in the New Chapter Book Club. If you’re looking for something more active, Templeton offers line dancing, yoga, Tai Chi, and even video chair exercises.
We also host off-site activities such as softball, bowling, pickleball, Putt Putt, and Golden Gourmet. For those who want to explore their creative side, Templeton provides a variety of art classes taught by some of Lynchburg’s top artists! Whether you’re interested in acrylics, oils, watercolors, drawing, or abstract art, our classes cater to all aspiring artists, from beginners to advanced students.
There’s so much happening at this fantastic community center! Come by and meet our welcoming staff, who are eager to see you and serve the community. Our art and fitness classes are available for all adults aged 18 and up.
