Moving into the Future

It’s been 24 years since the City last updated the Park and Recreation Needs Assessment and Comprehensive Park Master Plan. Not only has the City’s recreational needs as well as trends changed, but with competing demands of the City’s Capital Improvement Project budget, many projects identified in previous master plans have been deferred. It is the intent of the Lynchburg Parks and Recreation Department to update the 5-15-year park, trail and facility build out CIP schedule and collaborate with the Lynchburg community to design Lynchburg’s parks, trail and facilities of the future.
