What do you love most about working for Lynchburg Parks and Recreation?

I love that opportunity I get to meet so many different people from all walks of life. My job keeps me busy often times, looking for the “needle in a haystack” and which can quickly turn to interacting with citizens and other employees. I love to see the growth of the department since I began here many years ago.

Why is Miller Park your favorite park?

As a child I would visit my great grandmother who lived by the park. Being one of the oldest parks in the area, it is filled with wonderful history. I loved going to the pool, walking in the park, and playing on the “old, metal” playground equipment.

What is your favorite Lynchburg Parks and Recreation memory?

There are so many to great memories. My best are all the friendships I have made over the years. I have worked with amazing staff that I still keep in very close contact with over the years. Having taking classes that Parks & Recreation offers, I have made great friends too, and look forward to many more opportunities to get to know so many great people.
