When did you start working for Lynchburg Parks and Recreation?
What do you love most about working for Lynchburg Parks and Recreation?
I enjoy creating exciting graphics that really help generate interest in the great programs and events that we have to offer. My background is in graphic design, so I bring a diverse range of design experience to parks and rec and enjoy the creative challenge. Everyone here is enthusiastic about helping each other. There is a supportive and collaborative element, that even though we work independently, we’re a close team that always looks for ways to improve our work.
What is your favorite park?
For me, it has to be Peaks View Park. As an athlete, that park has just about everything I need. I can play softball, tennis, disc golf, ultimate frisbee, basketball, or just run a few miles, all without having to get in my car and drive somewhere else to do so.
What is your favorite Lynchburg Parks and Recreation memory?
There’s a few, but one that stands out was being a participant in the Zombie Laser Tag at Riverside Park. Our programmers did a great job putting it together and creating a fun, safe environment. It was a blast to run around in the dark, avoiding zombies, and taking out the other team. I don’t like to brag, but our team did win!
