Meet at Miller Center
8/1/2022 - 8/5/2022
9:00 AM
12:00 PM

Calling all girls interested in a hands-on, minds-on watershed experience that combines STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) with recreation (fishing)! Join us this August for an exciting adventure where you will learn to fish (and hopefully catch something!), learn about ecosystems, run science experiments, and explore the habitat and organisms that supports recreational fishing.

Using loaner gear and educational materials, girls will explore a local stream habitat, discover aquatic insects, and learn the art of fishing at several different water ways in Lynchburg. Participants will meet at the Miller Center at the beginning of each day. Register by 7/27.

LYNCHBURG DOG PARKA quick update on our repairs

The small park is scheduled to open on March 22. The large park is scheduled to open on April 5. At that time, we will need to close the small park again to reseed the grass and establish a better turf. We have that project to be completed by June 7. The entire dog park will be open and available for use then.
