What is Hydroponics? Hydroponics is a way to skip the soil, sub in a different material to support the roots of the plant, and grow crops directly in nutrient-rich water. Young adults will become Horticulturalists and discover ancient methods for growing food using hydroponic systems.
Learn from an experienced horticulturalist how to run a hydroponics business, including on the job training. Create compact indoor hydroponic and aquaponics systems using every-day materials. Discuss how to improve global food security through self-sufficiency and hydroponic’s role in creating a healthy environment. Upon completion of training, students will present their business pitch during a company party night and receive certificates of completion. Register by 9/29.
