Legacy Museum

The Legacy Museum of African American History invites the public to Celebrate Black History Month by tuning into the Quincy Armstrong Show. The program will air weekly, throughout the month, Sunday evenings on LTV. Episodes can also be viewed later on the Lynchburg Parks & Rec YouTube channel. The show features history professor Quincy Smith, who uses theatrical entertainment to promote education through interviews with historical figures spanning from slavery to the present day.

LYNCHBURG DOG PARKA quick update on our repairs

The small park is scheduled to open on March 22. The large park is scheduled to open on April 5. At that time, we will need to close the small park again to reseed the grass and establish a better turf. We have that project to be completed by June 7. The entire dog park will be open and available for use then.
