Logs and other obstacles are a part of life when you mountain bike the trails in Virginia. A certified instructor from Blackwater Bike Shop will teach you the proper way to ride over them by lifting your front wheel and back wheel independently and will practice the timing needed to keep your chainring safe and happy. We cover as many types of wheel lifts as we can in this two-hour clinic (depending on how the group progresses). Examples include the basic front and rear wheel lifts, the manual, the ¼-punch front wheel lift, the level lift and the bunnyhop. Prerequisites for this course include completion of any mountain bike instruction on the fundamentals. A helmet, closed-toe shoes, and working mountain bike are required. Register by three days prior to program date.
