Populations of monarch butterflies have declined over recent decades due to numerous environmental threats. One simple way that people can help these butterflies is to grow milkweed plants, the only food source for monarch caterpillars, in their gardens and public spaces.
Students from the University of Lynchburg will present information about monarch butterflies, their relationship with milkweed plants, and on-going research at the Claytor Nature Center related to milkweed restoration efforts. Register by 4/14.
