Think you can snag the big one? Share your biggest catch in our inaugural virtual fishing tournament to be entered into a sweepstakes for prizes and more. In conjunction with the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources, we invite anglers of all ages to enter into one of these five categories: smallmouth bass, sunfish, channel catfish, flathead catfish, and muskie.

How it works?

Anglers must register online and submit photos of their catch no later than 5:00pm on June 30. 

Anglers can enter their catch in one of these five categories: smallmouth bass, sunfish, blue/channel catfish, flathead catfish, and muskie.

Entries must be caught with in the following boundaries: James River–Confluence of Jackson and Cowpasture rivers downstream to 14th Street Bridge (Richmond). Staunton River–Leesville Dam downstream to either the Rt. 360 bridge.

To enter, anglers must send a picture of their catch next to a measuring tool with the date and the receipt number from registration via Instagram or email natureoutdoors@lynchburgva.gov. All entries must include #LYHFishingTournament and @lynchburgparksandrec
