Have you thought about planting a garden but dont know where to begin? Dig up your dirt and bring it in for testing to find out what you can grow with help from the Naturalists of Lynchburg Parks and Rec. In recognition of International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we invite all ages to dig deep in to the science of soils. Youth under 16 must have an adult present. Register by 2/9.
Dig up your dirt and have a Naturalist with Lynchburg Parks and Rec walk you through the steps of testing your own soil to find out what you can grow. In recognition of International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we invite all ages to dig deep in to the science of soils. Each participant will pick up a box from the Miller Center with all materials necessary to test their own soil. Register by 2/4.
Our virtual program platform should not require you to download any special software and can be streamed live from any device with internet connection. There is no better way to warm up from the cold weather than by a warm campfire. And what goes great with a campfire? Hot, fresh cooked food of course! Learn how to make the instructor’s favorite campfire meal, and the basics on how to make your own fire. Register by 3/2.
Aim for a fun evening with friends and learn a new skill in this introductory course. Participants will learn the basic elements of archery including parts of the bow, shooting form, and the layout of the range from a USA Archery certified instructor. End the evening by honing your new skills on the range. Register by 3/23.
