The Dirt on Gardens  |  February 11

Ladies and girls this night is for you. Have you thought about planting a garden but don’t know where to begin? Dig up your dirt and bring it in for testing to find out what you can grow with help from Lynchburg Department of Water Resources and Robert E Lee Soil and Water Conservation District instructors. In recognition of International Day of Women and Girls in Science we invite all ages to dig deep in to the science of soils. Lab coats are optional! Register by 2/9.

Ladies this night is for you. Welcome the arrival of spring and see our trails after dark with friends. This hike may include listening for nocturnal animals, observing moths, learning how our senses adapt to night and more! About 3 miles. Meet by the restrooms next to the Awareness Garden. Register by 3/17.

Archery  |  April 9

Ladies this night is for you. Aim for a fun evening with friends and learn a new skill in this introductory course. Participants will learn the basic elements of archery including parts of the bow, shooting form, and the layout of the range from a USA Archery certified instructor. End the evening by honing your new skills on the range. Register by 4/7.
