Jr Archer Open Range

PREREQUISITE: Must have previously attended an archery program with Lynchburg Parks & Recreation.*

Just want to shoot for fun? Each week will involve a different activity; pop some balloons, play tic-tac-toe with a partner or shoot a zombie. Not interested in competitions or tournaments? This is the program for you! Sign up for one, two, or all the dates in this 6-week program. Minimal instruction is provided during these programs.

Interested in improving your skills and learning the fundamentals of archery with a USA Archery certified coach? Check-out the “Lynchburg Beginner JOAD Club.” Register two days in advance. All equipment provided.

*NOTE: To allow for maximum time on the range, participants must have attended a previous program during which a Lynchburg Parks and Recreation staff member lead a safety protocol and range rules talk. The “Give it a Shot” program would full fill this prerequisite.

LYNCHBURG DOG PARKA quick update on our repairs

The small park is scheduled to open on March 22. The large park is scheduled to open on April 5. At that time, we will need to close the small park again to reseed the grass and establish a better turf. We have that project to be completed by June 7. The entire dog park will be open and available for use then.
