Chance Dance is an innovative class that uses Merce Cunningham’s chance-based approach to choreography. Using movements taught by the instructor and created by the dancers, chance methods such as flipping coins and rolling dice are used to determine the combination of movements that will be used to construct a dance by the end of the session.

This class is a great way for dancers to explore and expand their creative process. No prior dance experience necessary. Dancers will dance barefoot. Wear dance clothes or comfortable clothes you can move in. Register by 7/10. A short performance for friends and family will be held during the last class.
