Care for those in need this holiday season by creating a Blessing Bag!

In lieu of a public assembly as done in past years, we are asking community members to please donate a pre-packaged bag or make a monetary donation. To donate a bag, all items should fit into a watertight, gallon-size, zipper lock bag and must contain the following essential items: gloves, socks, snacks, water-bottle, hygiene items, tissues, and Band-Aids, with a choice of optional items that are detailed below. Citywide drop off locations are located at Miller Center, Jackson Heights Art Studio, and Templeton Center.

Essential Items:
Gloves
Warm Socks
2 Non-perishable snacks (protein bar, ready-to-eat pop-top canned food, snack-crackers, fruit-cup, dried fruit, beef jerky, etc.)
Hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, shampoo)
Tissues
Water bottle
Band-Aids

Optional Items:
Rain poncho
Hand warmers
First aid kit
Fast food gift card
Hand/ baby wipes
Chap Stick
Floss
Nail Clippers
Comb or small brush
Female hygiene products
Personalized note/ card
Reusable cloth mask
Hand sanitizer

Outside the Bag:
Compact Blanket

Eliminate the shopping hassle by making monetary donations online below, or in-person at Miriam’s House. All bags and donations are for Miriam’s House Street Outreach Program. Collection dates are from December 1, 2020–January 15, 2021.
