In July 2019 Lynchburg became a certified Bee City USA. Stop by the Community Market to celebrate the 51st anniversary of Earth Day and see what all of the buzz is about! Support local farmers and pick up your weekly groceries, plus get educated by a wide variety of organizations concerned about pollinators. Pollinator friendly vendors and fun, safe activities will be available for the whole family. Don’t talk about it, bee about it!

Pollinator Friendly FARMER | Growers who help preserve and protect pollinator populations by implementing positive, incremental, substantiated changes on agricultural landscapes. Criteria includes: Farming Certifications, Growing plant species on the farm that provide forage for bees and other pollinators, Forage habitat, Clean water resources, Bee nesting habitat, Pest management protocol, Low/No Spray produce.
