DESCRIPTION:Peddle under the light of the nearly full moon on a fun group ride for bikers of all levels! Gear up bikes with at least front and rear lights and grab your helmet (these items are required). Costumes are also encouraged! \nA FREE bike parade will kick off the event\, but is limited to the first 30 people to register at the LPRD tent. Join us for an easy 4.5-mile walk along an old railway trail that used to have the longest railroad tunnel in North America back in 1858. DESCRIPTION:Hop on the Parks and Recreation tacky lights tour bus and get ready for a dazzling holiday adventure! Enjoy catchy festive tunes as you explore the best-lit houses in Lynchburg. The tour lasts about 45–55 minutes\, starting and ending at the Lynchburg Community Market. While you wait or after the tour\, warm up with some delicious s’mores (weather permitting) and hot cocoa at the market! Check-in is by the fountain in the Community Market Plaza. Groups can have up to 10 people\, but remember\, kids under 16 need to have an adult with them. Don’t forget to register by 12/8. \nAnd that’s not all! Be sure to swing by the Bright Nights display\, just two blocks from the Market\, either before or after your tour for even more holiday cheer! \nThink your house is the tackiest? Complete the application for a chance to win $50.00 and have your home featured on the tour! Applications are open from 11/1–12/1. Click HERE to apply. \nAddress must be within Lynchburg City Limits in order to be considered. Houses will be scouted the following week after 12/1. Decorative lights/displays must be active from 5:00pm–10:00pm during tour nights to be considered in the running. \nRain or shine\, let’s make some festive memories!
