Please\, no parking in Garland Rhodes Apartments. *Registration not required. \nCarriage Ride Night  |  December 8\nExperience the magic of the holidays with a horse-drawn carriage ride from the Lexington Carriage Company! Take a leisurely loop through the park and make lasting memories with family and friends. Rides are $55.00 per group of up to 6 people. Children 3 and under\, who can ride in a lap\, are FREE. Rides are purchased by timeslot with five groups scheduled for each half hour. Only one person from the group needs to register. Individual walk-ups are limited per availability and cash only at $10.00 per person. DESCRIPTION:Add bright colors and swirly designs to your wheel thrown pottery with marbling techniques! A two-week workshop for intermediate potters\, this wheel thrown class will teach participants how to incorporate colored clay into their wheel thrown work to create fun and colorful pieces. \nTo register all participants must have taken a beginner pottery class and be comfortable centering and creating cylinders on the wheel\, instructor will not teach basic throwing or trimming techniques. Participants will be responsible for glazing and finishing pieces not completed during the workshop during open studio time (not included). Limited spots available! Register by 11/30. Cost is $75.00 LR | $85.00 for ages 15+.

SUMMARY:Celebration of Lights
DESCRIPTION:The 7th annual Celebration of Lights will open on December 1\, 2023 and run nightly\, from 5:00pm–9:00pm\, until January 1\, 2024. Come join us as we light up Riverside Park! This free\, family-friendly drive-through attraction will include holiday-themed light displays all throughout the park. We have two magical pedestrian nights this year\, which means no vehicles will be allowed in the park on those nights. \nGrand Illumination Night  |  December 1\nMayor Stephanie Reed will lead the countdown as the park comes alive! Renaissance Theatre Company Dicken’s Carolers and Santa will add to the festivities and offer a perfect photo backdrop. Parking is available along Rivermont Avenue and Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Please\, no parking in Garland Rhodes Apartments. *Registration not required. \nCarriage Ride Night  |  December 8\nExperience the magic of the holidays with a horse-drawn carriage ride from the Lexington Carriage Company! Take a leisurely loop through the park and make lasting memories with family and friends. Rides are $55.00 per group of up to 6 people. Children 3 and under\, who can ride in a lap\, are FREE. Rides are purchased by timeslot with five groups scheduled for each half hour. Only one person from the group needs to register. Individual walk-ups are limited per availability and cash only at $10.00 per person. Registration is open until 12/6 or until sold out. \n*In the event of inclement weather\, your carriage ride may need to be rescheduled and you will be assigned the same time slot on a designated rain date\, which will be determined after consultation with the carriage company.
