July Progress Report from the Fairview Neighborhood Center
The community has been working hard to address several action items in an effort to revitalize the Fairview neighborhood. The community action team reinstated the neighborhood watch, bringing together over 25 community members to address some opportunities for improvement within the Fairview Neighborhood. An inspection was held at Younger Park in order to prevent crime and several improvements were made in an effort to reduce crime. Landlord rental issues in the Fairview neighborhood were addressed. Actions were taken to further develop programs that serve as a positive activity for area teens such as 3-on-3 basketball. Finally, efforts were made to join with local churches and community stakeholders to pool resources to assist area revitalization efforts.
