Watercolor Workshop: Colorful Landscapes

In this full day workshop, artists will take time to learn how to paint the elements in a landscape: beautiful skies, trees, mountains, water, buildings, and birds. This a fun relaxed workshop featuring instructor demonstrations and one on one instruction as time allows. Students are required to bring their own reference photos, brushes and paint. About Ken:

Lynchburg Parks and RecKen Hobson is an award-winning artist whose expertise spans all artistic media, techniques and subject matter, from realistic watercolors and oils to imaginative abstracts. Ken has a keen eye for detail and a love of color and design which comes through in his painting. Ken is always looking for subject matter from a city street to a relaxing countryside. Ken is driven with a love of painting, family and life he pulls them all together in his painting.

Please also bring a variety of round & flat brushes. Ken’s favorite brush is Creative Mark’s “Harmony Squirrel Quill” mop brush, #6 or #8, available through Jerrysartarama in Raleigh. This brush looks identical to other brands like Winsor Newton, Richeson etc., however, they DO NOT work nearly as well.
