The holidays are fast approaching and we are here to get you in the holiday spirit. We have a variety of programs coming up suitable for any budget with prices ranging from FREE to $26 for Lynchburg City residents. Whether you want to take in some holiday light displays or whip up some holiday cookies, we have the perfect program(s) for you! 12/1 – 1/1 | Riverside Park
Formerly known as Festival of Lights, we’ve revamped this light display since last year and have transformed it into an experience that you won’t want to miss! We have theme nights, food trucks, activities, a glow ride, and more. Basically, you won’t want to miss out on what we have done to transform Riverside Park this year. Opening night is December 1. See below for the dates of the theme nights.

Miller Center
You guessed it: Happy Pawlidays is a holiday celebration for you and your dog! Come down to Miller Center anytime during the event to socialize with other pups, craft a paw ornament for your tree, take a picture with “Santa Paws” (see what we did there?), and even more fun activities for dog lovers. We’re happy to host your furry friends, but remember that this event is for dogs only and dogs must be leashed at all times during the event.

Miller Park
Hosted by our Nature Zone crew, this program takes you outside to Miller Park to gather items to use for homemade holiday decorations. Once you have enough goodies to create a wreath or centerpiece, you’ll head inside to make your holiday masterpiece!

Mike Connolly, Lynchburg’s veritable gourd master, hosts this workshop in which you will create an ornament out of an egg-shaped gourd. The result is a beautiful, sustainably-made ornament that will delight you for years to come. The $3.00 supply fee paid on-site to the instructor covers two gourds and supplies.

Love holiday cookies? Who doesn’t! We’ll show you how to make a variety of holiday desserts and give you recipes to take home so that you can make them at your holiday parties. You’ll even get to take the treats you make home with you – yum!
