HealthFest 2017

Lynchburg Parks & Recreation is accepting submissions from vendors, health clubs, and agencies for the HealthFest 2017, a Health and Wellness Fair at Miller Park, scheduled for October 7, 2017. Various businesses, vendors, and health agencies from the Lynchburg and surrounding area are encouraged to apply.

About HealthFest

As part of Lynchburg Parks and Recreation’s mission to contribute to a healthy, active, educated community we are hosting a Health & Wellness Fair in the park, with the intention of connecting the citizens of Lynchburg to available, local health resources and opportunities. This free, community event open to all ages, will feature health vendors, food trucks, a kid’s zone, group fitness classes, a mini farmer’s market, community art, live music, and health screenings.

The Health and Wellness Fair is FREE to attend and will be held at Miller Park, 2100 Park Ave, from 11:00am–3:00pm on Saturday, 10/7/2017.

Eligibility

Lynchburg Parks & Recreation is now accepting applications from vendors, health agencies, businesses and non-profits that fall under the following five event goals:

  1. Health Education
  2. Outdoor Recreation
  3. Natural Wellbeing
  4. Mental and Physical Health
  5. Social Connection

 

Application

If you would like to apply to vend at HealthFest, please fill out the online application linked below. Please also take a look at the vendor/tabling fees listed below. Depending on your type of business/organization, you will be required to pay one of the following fees to submit and complete your application. This fee can be paid online here, or in person at Miller Center. Both fees include one parking pass, one 10×10 tent space, one 6’ table and one chair. 

  • $50 VENDOR FEE – If selling services/products/food/beverages
  • $25 TABLING FEE – If providing educational resource or outreach, not selling merchandise

 

Application fees may be waived for businesses or agencies promoting a free public service. Please inquire for more information.

Please note: payments will be promptly refunded in full if you are not selected. If your application is submitted after September 15, A $10 late charge will be added to the application fee. Late applications and special requests will be considered on a first-paid, first-served basis as space permits. No refunds will be given after Septmeber 1st if accepted to vend at the Health and Wellness Fair.

  • Supporting marketing materials or menus for your business or organization attached in your online application 
  • Vendor or Tabling fee paid online or in-person at Miller Center, 301 Grove St.

Sponsorship

For those interested, we have outlined three levels of sponsorship for HealthFest in the document linked below. These levels range from $50–$250 in cost, with benefits ranging from social media promotion of your organization, to logo and name recognition on marketing materials and at the event.
